Greedy companies and a succession of short-sighted governments have made sure that jobs like these, that would be ideal for disabled people of varying degrees, have all gone (and then the government expects us to somehow come up with our own ideas for work, without financial backing, with manufacturing countries soon copying whatever ideas we do have, and while they cut disability benefits more and more).

I can confidently say I had a job like this. I worked at a cultivation site in Illinois. And me and about ten other guys would have 8 hours to label product that would take us 1 hour max. So we made each box last 45 minutes instead of 5.

I don’t know about the others, but the part where they hit canned food with a stick is an actual job and only professionals can do it. That job is like checking which canned food is empty and which is filled, and if they’re really skilled, sometimes they can even tell what’s inside the can.

These factory employees are on another level of zen I would go insane without something else to do

Okay but as a line worker even these 'simple' jobs are actually kinda tough. Like if you miss the beat once? Now the whole line is screwed. My job? I open cardboard boxes so other people can fill them. If I fail to open three boxes per five seconds, then we're backed up and efficiency dips and we lose performance points to make us eligible for a bonus.

Friendly reminder these people probably have more outstanding paper qualifications than most of us outside of their country also, but because they can't find jobs matching their qualifications, they have to do these seemingly mundane jobs. And, at least they have local jobs to pay their bills for. In my country I can't even do these factory jobs or other blue collar jobs because foreign immigrants filled them up years ago.

I don’t know about the others, but the part where they hit canned food with a stick is an actual job and only professionals can do it. That job is like checking which canned food is empty and which is filled, and if they’re really skilled, sometimes they can even tell what’s inside the can.

I open cardboard boxes so other people can fill them. i got the job just sit for 12 hours and do nothing...im security guard and old hospital building...the abandoned forensic building to be more pricise..i got hang of this job over 4 years now pay was not that bad too

Friendly reminder these people probably have more outstanding paper qualifications than most of us outside of their country also, but because they can't find jobs matching their qualifications, they have to do these seemingly mundane jobs. And, at least they have local jobs to pay their bills for. In my country I can't even do these factory jobs or other blue collar jobs because foreign immigrants filled them up years ago.
友情提醒：这些人可能比他们国家以外的大多数人拥有更多杰出的学历资质。但由于找不到能匹配自身资历的工作，他们只能干起这些看似平淡无奇的活儿。
而且，至少他们还能在当地找到一份养家糊口的差事。可在我的祖国，好些年以前，这类工厂岗位和其他蓝领工作就已经被外来移民占满了，我连干这些活儿的机会都没有。

If there were jobs like that in my country unemploiment will decrease a lot, and industry will increase. But no-one is gonna paid you to do a work like that in my country; bosses really aspect you suffer to do a work
要是我们国家也有这类工作，失业率肯定会大幅下降，工业发展也能更上一层楼。可在我们这儿，没人会愿意为这种活儿付你薪水；老板们满心想着的，就是要你拼尽全力、吃苦受累地干活。
