This is Chongqing China a city that has become super famous for looking like it is from the future. This is my 1st ever moment walking outside in China. The 1st things I see is how clean it is and how there is almost no garbage and no other tourists.
So far it has been almost impossible to communicate with anyone in English, every single interaction is done with a translator app.
This is not the normal tourist spot for foreigners in China. Normally they go to Shanghai or Beijing but this is very impressive so far.

They are not really winning in tech. I get why people think that. The thing is, they steal tech from companies that choose to manufacture in China so when they make an improvement on something that other countries are currently using it seems like they are ahead. The issue with that is, they have been unable to steal tech from countries that are decades ahead and manufactured in that country. The US government for example has tech that most Americans don’t even know about! They only know what the powers that be want them to know. ! Sure it’s nice that it’s clean, it’s great that they can just build stuff fast…but at what cost? There is so much corruption that many buildings and other projects have been built with shoddy craftsmanship and inferior materials. Some projects, ones that China uses for international flex are built to exact standards but there are entire cities that are thrown up in just a few years that end up killing thousands during an earthquake.

If you have the chance I highly recommend going to Zax BBQ in zhengzhou. Really enjoyed it and it reminded me of home while I was in China for study abroad. Also their McDonald’s was delicious- no issues with the ice cream machine like in the U.S

They are not really winning in tech. I get why people think that. The thing is, they steal tech from companies that choose to manufacture in China so when they make an improvement on something that other countries are currently using it seems like they are ahead. The issue with that is, they have been unable to steal tech from countries that are decades ahead and manufactured in that country. The US government for example has tech that most Americans don’t even know about! They only know what the powers that be want them to know. ! Sure it’s nice that it’s clean, it’s great that they can just build stuff fast…but at what cost? There is so much corruption that many buildings and other projects have been built with shoddy craftsmanship and inferior materials. Some projects, ones that China uses for international flex are built to exact standards but there are entire cities that are thrown up in just a few years that end up killing thousands during an earthquake.

If you have the chance I highly recommend going to Zax BBQ in zhengzhou. Really enjoyed it and it reminded me of home while I was in China for study abroad. Also their McDonald’s was delicious- no issues with the ice cream machine like in the U.S
