One important view is that being an Asian I am least question about visiting Asian countries than in US particularly. They did make Alaska a state because of its size compared to population and Hawaii because of its strategic location.

I’ve lived in China for 15 years and worked in a British university in Zhejiang Province. I’ve loved every single minute of my life in China and the version of the news propagated by the BBC over those years was deeply embarrassing for myself and my many other British colleagues and bore no semblance to the reality which we found on the ground among the people of China. China is a wonderful country and its people are among the finest I have ever met. The people of China have built a miracle from great poverty in the very short span of 40 years and instead of being commended and acclaimed for their achievements they have been calumnied and slandered by a western media which is becoming more and more exposed as mere weapons of propaganda. I urge anyone who has not visited China to come and enjoy the great depth of its culture and civilization and to make up their own mind afterwards. In this era the once famous BBC has little gravitas or credibility and is not even respected by its own citizens.

I have stopped travelling to the west many years now and instead visit China and neighbours Asian countries. One important view is that being an Asian I am least question about visiting Asian countries than in US particularly. US immigration officers are more biased and discriminatory to other nationalities like Asians in particular. They questions you like that of being an illegal immigrants way before trump come to power.

Starmer's government would actually like to have a good economic relationship with China, as the UK's economy is so poor. During the time of Cameron's government the UK had a near 'golden age' with China but then the US intervened. Hopefully relations can improve-- Wang Yi will visit the UK next month. If they want to develop decent relations with China, they need to stop demonizing them.
