For the record I have seen all 10 of the of the first season episodes (and there will be a second season so yay) and if Marc Cherry is telling the truth this will be an anthology series like American Horror Story in which a lot of the actors will be back playing different rolls but while AHS told different kinds of Horror stories Why Women Kill is more a dramedy that asks the question why they kill.

The first season told three unique stories set in one Pasadena home in three different eras. All three stories are exceptionally well done although the current era one is the weakest. Most people comment on Lucy Lui in the 80s era story and her relationship with both her gay husband Karl and her young lover Tommy. But personally I found the 60s story to be the best. Ginnifer Goodwin was superb as Beth Ann Stanton the increasingly bitter wife of the lying and cheating Rob Stanton.

Put your views of the world aside and enjoy this show for what it is. Good story telling. The world is different now than it was 20, 30, even 50 years ago, but some things stay the same love, anger and revenge. I see that in this story and the first episode drew me and had me wanting more. Can't wait to watch the rest of the season.

This is a fabulous show!!! Love the different time periods and the costuming for each one of them. This a great adult theme sex/comedy/crime show. Lucy Liu is fantastic as the rich manipulative/controlling wife. Also, Ginnifer Goodwin so adorable submissive, cute but soon awaken to fight back a controlling jerk husband. Davenport handsome with that manly voice as the gay cheating husband. Looking forward to continuing watching the next episodes. Great show!

This show started out strong and continued to improve, culminating in an absolutely breathtaking season 1 finale. This show took cliched subject matter and turned the "women who kill" trope completely on its head by creating incredibly nuanced female characters. Initially, I found the Lucy Liu storyline to be the weakest, relying too heavily on stereotypes. But over the course of a few episodes, her storyline quickly became the strongest, and was expertly acted by both Lucy Liu and Jack Davenport. I laughed, I cried, I'm waiting with baited breath for season 2

Amazing and cool! I love this show so much. Actually this is my first time watching a show tightly. Every each actor really does a good job. The cloth, the music, the storyline, the timeline, the development and impore of each storyline...Everything is just surprising and WOW! Believe, you definitely do not want to miss it.

The pictures of TV plays perfectly show the sense of time in different periods. The plot answer the question' Why women kill', because the men in TV series ask for it. The plot is quite exciting, with many reversals. However, I can't understand the emotion of the third couple, that's why I rate this 8/10.

When I started the show I wasn't sure, and by the end I thought it was one of the best I've seen. It's funny, original, and heartwarming (but not cheesy). Lucy Liu and Ginnifer Goodwin are absolutely fantastic. Watch it! You will be glad you did.

Entertaining and enjoyable enough to watch. Very unrealistic, so don't take it too seriously. The 1960 and 1980 storyline were the best and most interesting. I found the modern day storyline to be the weakest lix with a mediocre plot and so-so acting. 7 overall.

I really enjoyed the first episode. They had a lot of characters to present with a lot of problems to briefly expose you to and I felt they kept the pace moving and kept the intro shallow. I said multiple times 'I have so many questions!'

I really enjoyed the first episode. They had a lot of characters to present with a lot of problems to briefly expose you to and I felt they kept the pace moving and kept the intro shallow. I said multiple times 'I have so many questions!'

Just finished the first season which generally knocked the socks off me, sometimes boredom came up while watching it tho. It was not something that hit me to the core, but was fun enough to be a good time killer. The plot didn't beat round the bush, and was like a knife thrusting right into the heart of dark/devious side. The satire on love and lust made us rethink about the human, the humanity, and the value that claimed to represent both in our society, past and present. Love Lucy Liu and Leo Howard, also can't help but notice Kirby who once charmingly spoke London accent in Killing Eve.

The title itself tries to set your expectations with the premise that all three husbands will die at the hands of their wives. Simone, Lucy Liu's character, is also presented at first as the vilest human being who would obviously want her husband dead, while Taylor is the no-nonsense independent woman, and Beth Ann is the meek victim. Through a meandering but very tight and entertaining plot, oh how the tables are turned at the end. Taylor becomes an unsuspecting victim because of her poor judgment; Beth Ann becomes the sly one, while Simone makes a decision for her husband out of pure love and sympathy. This show gives off a "Desperate Housewives" feel and vibe, but it's exponentially better. The set, costumes, makeup, acting, and directing are all spectacular.

I went into this show with literally no idea what it was about. And I'm so glad because it's was so good. A nice change of pace from other shows, funny, dramatic and a little silly at times. The acting was great OF COURSE look at the damn cast!!

The author was just so creative to think of making this series, and dividing the time periods to 1963 1984 and 2019. It seemed as if I was watching 3 different shows that connected really well. Like omg I don't even know how to describe this, such an awesome show!!!

Take a great cast, excellent acting and well defined characters and combine that with an overlapping multi-era story, and wow you've got a very entertaining show that isn't a "cookie cutter" typical drama format. Based on what you see in the first episode you understand that you are watching a "whodunit" in reverse. Every episode is saturated with colorful activity, dialog and/or great scene set-up shots that are not just "filler"; holds your interest!

Jack Davenport also played an excellent part. Now I want to see everything these actors have been in. The Final Episode of this series was so well done. I am going to re-watch it again tonight!! Series Two: Although I love all the Actors this is not as good as the first series IMO. I'd give it 6-7 compared to the 10 I gave the First series.

I gobbled this series down in 3 nights, it was so satisfying! Def worth giving it a shot.

Was the third story written by a child?! The movie is so great, but the 3rd story is silly and annoying (the afro american actress saves a bit the situation - good acting). It would have been a strong 10 from me without the story of the 2019 couple (or with a better story).

Just finished part 6 of the first season, the family dinner scene just made me laugh so loud, that my partner came out from another room to check what's going on...on a serious note, great cast, Jack Davenport and Lucy Liu are awesome and their characters are just great, stories of all the three women are developing in a nice pace and one wants to know what's next... it's also lively to reflect on different times all the three women lived in and how much or not so mucb values changed. Highly recommend

I simply enjoy every minute of it, it is fun, exciting, you just can not get bored only for one minute of watching it. That is quite exceptional theese days. Also great casting and acting. Really good job!

Interesting series from the get go. All TV viewers especially young ladies and housewives will love this series because their husbands are described as dirty pigs, liars and cheaters and these three (3) wives are not going to take it anymore.

Amazingly enough, this show manages to promote proper marriage and family values, those of trying to make things work, and standing by your spouse. Yes, there is infidelity, and these are not even close to perfect marriages, but in the end you still get feeling that women portrayed honestly just wanted their marriages to work out, and went to rather extreme lengths trying to salvage their marriages, even as things were in shambles. Deserving of utmost respect. Sort of wives any man should be happy to have.
