In my opinion its more about what you have experienced in life, and not where you live. My life have been a tragedy, at same time I have supportive friends, family and co-workers that raise me up from the darkness.At the moment I am happy, and feel lucky. Even Norway have a crises at the moment, it dosnt affekt how I see life. I am norwegian and live in Norway , however I do not feel unsafe to live in a country that share’s border with Russia . I am not even afrade to go on holiday to Lithuania , even its a former soviet republic, because Norway is in NATO , and so is Lithuania

We also have inflation, and its difficult to get a house here as well , and electricity prices have become more than 70 % more expensive in less than a year, but the wage is still the same. And food prices are also alot more expensive, and gas is also more than double , and even all this have become more expensive, the wage is still the same. And even some people abroad believe that most Norwegians are millionaries, they are wrong , most of us are middleclass citizens . Alot of people struggle here in Norway .

I completely agree with you on Norway. I've had the privilege of going there. I went by train with my girlfriend and her parents in August of 1990. We stayed in Oslo. I would love to go back soon.
