That New York city subway looks really bad. Looks third world. Even North Korean subway looks heaven compared to that. I'm in Sydney, Australia and its not too bad. Definitely way cleaner than New York subway. But its no where as advanced and clean as China.

someone says that the comparison is not fair given that the NY subway was built close to a century ago ——That's not a good defense. Because, at least, urban sanitation is not the responsibility of people 100 years ago, but of people today.

I love the all the “new” metro subway lines and stations that China is building as each city grows! As a matter of fact, I have the Metroman App which gives me all of the upxed information for all of the cities that have a subway system.
NYC subways was built in 1904 so the system is 117 years old compared to China’s system. The cultural differences of the 2 societies besides the political government is the biggest differences when making any comparison. The many different languages, ethnicities and disparities of other factors are reasons why America is so unique.
I love the way how China has developed! As there are many Chinese descendant living abroad, without language or ever been there, we have a sense of being proud of how China had developed.
We can only hope setting aside politics, we can all live in harmony and in peace!

Don't have to worry about traffic or finding parking. Last time I took the subway was from NJ to NY in 2019. Not too bad, guess It was all those years of conditioning... But when watching this back to back... It's so obvious, the condition of public transport in America is some of the worst.

Thanks for showing a real China to the intl community, but comparing a metro system that was very recently built with the metro that has been used for about 100 years does not seem to be “公平”. Better to compare a newly built something in China with the one also newly built in the US.

Just like people can misunderstand China, people can misunderstand US as well. Comparing big cities in China with that of US is close to comparing best places in China with worst places in US. Small towns in US can be much nicer than big cities. Admittedly small towns in US do not have subways.

Shared Infrastructures like public transport, that are rarely used and seen by the upper class decision makers, have seen a constant decline in their budget for the maintenance of their esthetic and comfort qualities. Chinese PPP is at he level the US PPP was in the early 70's. I think it was a wise decision for the CPC to engage in the policies of "Common Prosperity".

Some of the subway entrances and tunnels in new york are very nice. At least much much nicer than the ny tunnel clip you were showing. Also check for San Francisco BART stations, they are much nicer than NY stations in general. But infrastructure in China is also getting better and cleaner.
