When you ask for the replacement of the fires; what you are telling the counter staff is the fries is not salty enough instead it’s not fresh or hot enough. Also, in contrast with North American and UK, KFC have better reputation as well as more store than McDonald have in China, because KFC have much more specially design items and much better service quality than McDonald did in China. China version KFC not only has similar breakfast combo which is launched in North America and UK by McDonald, it also has customized item like Soybean milk, fried dough sticks, porridge and rougamo for Chinese market. Also, KFC offers varieties of Chinese topping rice (rice served with meat, meat juice (they have curry flavour) and vegetables), multiple flavours fires, fried chicken with a choice of spiciness and flavours, BBQ kebabs and a dessert coffee stations similar to McDonald''s McCofe (their egg tart is very good). In addition, KFC often launches time limited customized menus according to Chinese festivals, such as sesame ice cream and Hokkaido Matcha ice cream (I think they have launched ice cream moon cake before too). But McDonald is much less involved in those marketing activities. Definitely try out KFC, it’s amazing.

Many of you may have noticed that their foods have an artificial taste. These chemicals explain the reason. Other American fast food chains also use chemicals, but I think McDonald''s uses the most. So, I try to do all I can to stay away from fast-food restaurants.

I would probably try it if it China, but would probably want to try it only once for the novelty. It’s the opportunity for all the Chinese food which would be more appealing to me.

In indonesia our mcd made the fried chicken from probably 2 decades ago. The first version is not tasty as the seasoning taste bit stale, but now days it is good and they have indonesian seasoning taste too.

I have found that Mcdonald’s menu between, Hong King, Macau, Shenzhen and Shanghai differs quite a bit! I can nit remember Beijing. Found the same with KFC and Burger King, even huge difference between HK airport BK menu and BK in Hong Kong!
