Though I partly agree with your suggestions about sovereignty, India can't directly be equated with other North American countries given their bilateral relationship with USA. India needs to create a local circular economy and strong defense ties with SEA, Russia and other such countries where USA has a fragile confidence; instead of directly confronting USA-PAK-China at the moment. Also, India needs a strong economic strategies and long term visionary leadership. Regardless of the ongoing trade tension, I see, India lacks presently a reciprocal policy for trade, commerce and International relationship.

I need to point out one thing that you missed in this whole scenario that is reserve of rare minerals and lithium. China has that as well as Brazil. Trump is heavily investing to find the reserve within their lands that's what made them doing a deal with Pakistan. It is a huge factor now. So government has a huge fault. The empty noise around Pahalgam and the exaggerated victory claims are becoming increasingly meaningless. As a long-time supporter of the BJP, it's disappointing to see genuine concerns being deflected with hollow nationalism. It's high time the party stops using patriotism as a shield to cover up its shortcomings—especially in critical areas of the economy and society.
For example NEET and SSC exam chaos. When it's time to really focus more on education to reap the demographic dividend of our youth, BJP is big time messing it all up with useless changes and mismanagement.
I think it's time to change governments. Too much power for too long with one party can make a party complacent and indifferent to its voters concerns.

India's biggest shortcoming and mistake is that it already considers itself on the same plane as China and even Russia... It is not, not even close. Your people are still short of their basic rights and education is a mess.
Your biggest advantage is landmass and your population which is why partly your GDP is this much.
Also India always stays confrontational with its neighbours, especially Pakistan. You need peace to progress and not worry about your neighbours. India will never be a super power even close to China/Russia because it encourages and lives in Hostility.

Unless we fix education and healthcare system in India to create an educated, skilled and healthy workforce, we will never become an economic superpower. We are just riding the large population to have a high GDP. Even the GDP growth rate is subject to government manipulation and misrepresents true growth rate because of prior negative growth rate during COVID, which inflates the denominator; not to mention the data fudging in estimation of import growth rate. We need to truly look at all economic metrics on a per capita basis and look at the percentile distribution and not just averages. Averages hide the ugly truths, when as you rightfully pointed out by you the plight of the lower 70 percentile of the population (the 1 billion people with per capita annual income of $1,000, who have no money to spend on discretionary consumption). So Trump and other countries now realize that true consumer market in India is only 400 million not 1.4 billion. We have to raise the income level of the lower 70 percent. And that can only happen through quality education and healthcare for all.

Modi and his cabinet did a good job in fanning up the Indian ego and Hindu supremacy. In reality, although Trump exaggerated and is undiplomatic the Indians should take a hard honest look at themselves, the United Nations economical figures and their environment. Mod's cabinet tends to brag about things out of context. For example India's economic growth is tremendous and it is the number 5th in the world. It is out of context with its population. Its per capita GDP ranks 140 th amongst 194 countries in the world. Total GDP is not a measure of your wealth but Per Capita GDP and Purchasing Parity is the real measure. The other claim is being a super power. If a country cannot even manufacture its military equipment and without a comprehensive military industrial complex, it is not a super power. Thirdly Indians should take a hard honest look at their cities' environment. Infra structures are in a sorry state, streets full of garbage. Indian foreign minister, Jaishankar , goes around lecturing others how to run their countries, putting down China and behaving like the leader of Asia and the world thinking he is the smartest diplomat with the Indian media promoting this idea. Though I partly agree with your suggestions about sovereignty, India can't directly be equated with other North American countries given their bilateral relationship with USA. India needs to create a local circular economy and strong defense ties with SEA, Russia and other such countries where USA has a fragile confidence; instead of directly confronting USA-PAK-China at the moment. Also, India needs a strong economic strategies and long term visionary leadership. Regardless of the ongoing trade tension, I see, India lacks presently a reciprocal policy for trade, commerce and International relationship.

As a long-time supporter of the BJP, it's disappointing to see genuine concerns being deflected with hollow nationalism. India's biggest shortcoming and mistake is that it already considers itself on the same plane as China and even Russia... It is not, not even close. Your people are still short of their basic rights and education is a mess.
Your biggest advantage is landmass and your population which is why partly your GDP is this much.
Also India always stays confrontational with its neighbours, especially Pakistan. You need peace to progress and not worry about your neighbours. India will never be a super power even close to China/Russia because it encourages and lives in Hostility.

Unless we fix education and healthcare system in India to create an educated, skilled and healthy workforce, we will never become an economic superpower. We are just riding the large population to have a high GDP. Even the GDP growth rate is subject to government manipulation and misrepresents true growth rate because of prior negative growth rate during COVID, which inflates the denominator; not to mention the data fudging in estimation of import growth rate. We need to truly look at all economic metrics on a per capita basis and look at the percentile distribution and not just averages. Averages hide the ugly truths, when as you rightfully pointed out by you the plight of the lower 70 percentile of the population (the 1 billion people with per capita annual income of $1,000, who have no money to spend on discretionary consumption). So Trump and other countries now realize that true consumer market in India is only 400 million not 1.4 billion. We have to raise the income level of the lower 70 percent. And that can only happen through quality education and healthcare for all.

India's biggest shortcoming and mistake is that it already considers itself on the same plane as China and even Russia... It is not, not even close. Your people are still short of their basic rights and education is a mess.
Your biggest advantage is landmass and your population which is why partly your GDP is this much.
Also India always stays confrontational with its neighbours, especially Pakistan. You need peace to progress and not worry about your neighbours. India will never be a super power even close to China/Russia because it encourages and lives in Hostility.

Unless we fix education and healthcare system in India to create an educated, skilled and healthy workforce, we will never become an economic superpower. We are just riding the large population to have a high GDP. Even the GDP growth rate is subject to government manipulation and misrepresents true growth rate because of prior negative growth rate during COVID, which inflates the denominator; not to mention the data fudging in estimation of import growth rate. We need to truly look at all economic metrics on a per capita basis and look at the percentile distribution and not just averages. Averages hide the ugly truths, when as you rightfully pointed out by you the plight of the lower 70 percentile of the population (the 1 billion people with per capita annual income of $1,000, who have no money to spend on discretionary consumption). So Trump and other countries now realize that true consumer market in India is only 400 million not 1.4 billion. We have to raise the income level of the lower 70 percent. And that can only happen through quality education and healthcare for all.

Though I partly agree with your suggestions about sovereignty, India can't directly be equated with other North American countries given their bilateral relationship with USA. India needs to create a local circular economy and strong defense ties with SEA, Russia and other such countries where USA has a fragile confidence; instead of directly confronting USA-PAK-China at the moment. Also, India needs a strong economic strategies and long term visionary leadership. Regardless of the ongoing trade tension, I see, India lacks presently a reciprocal policy for trade, commerce and International relationship.

India's biggest shortcoming and mistake is that it already considers itself on the same plane as China and even Russia... It is not, not even close. Your people are still short of their basic rights and education is a mess.
Your biggest advantage is landmass and your population which is why partly your GDP is this much.
Also India always stays confrontational with its neighbours, especially Pakistan. You need peace to progress and not worry about your neighbours. India will never be a super power even close to China/Russia because it encourages and lives in Hostility.

Firstly, I don't beleive as our country at position 4 in world wide economy, we should support our goverment instead rely on third person statments. I have a faith on our goverment and 100% sure that response will come very soon.Also, I proud on our PM who takes versy strong decision. You guys must look before 2014 goverments.. Did anyone take any strong decision even there were so many terriorist attacck but govement didn't have guts to take any strong decision. In a nutshell, we should support our leadership.

Unless we fix education and healthcare system in India to create an educated, skilled and healthy workforce, we will never become an economic superpower. We are just riding the large population to have a high GDP. Even the GDP growth rate is subject to government manipulation and misrepresents true growth rate because of prior negative growth rate during COVID, which inflates the denominator; not to mention the data fudging in estimation of import growth rate. We need to truly look at all economic metrics on a per capita basis and look at the percentile distribution and not just averages. Averages hide the ugly truths, when as you rightfully pointed out by you the plight of the lower 70 percentile of the population (the 1 billion people with per capita annual income of $1,000, who have no money to spend on discretionary consumption). So Trump and other countries now realize that true consumer market in India is only 400 million not 1.4 billion. We have to raise the income level of the lower 70 percent. And that can only happen through quality education and healthcare for all.

Why do not USA thinks of reduci g the cost of products, so whatever is imported from China can be imported from USA at same price. Although every country should be self dependent. Still the want to trade it should be on no profit no loss. No country wants to loose money. No one has taken responsibility will let poor nations get benefit. If benefit should be taken should be from countries who colonized.

Modi and his cabinet did a good job in fanning up the Indian ego and Hindu supremacy. In reality, although Trump exaggerated and is undiplomatic the Indians should take a hard honest look at themselves, the United Nations economical figures and their environment. Mod's cabinet tends to brag about things out of context. For example India's economic growth is tremendous and it is the number 5th in the world. It is out of context with its population. Its per capita GDP ranks 140 th amongst 194 countries in the world. Total GDP is not a measure of your wealth but Per Capita GDP and Purchasing Parity is the real measure. The other claim is being a super power. If a country cannot even manufacture its military equipment and without a comprehensive military industrial complex, it is not a super power. Thirdly Indians should take a hard honest look at their cities' environment. Infra structures are in a sorry state, streets full of garbage. Indian foreign minister, Jaishankar , goes around lecturing others how to run their countries, putting down China and behaving like the leader of Asia and the world thinking he is the smartest diplomat with the Indian media promoting this idea. In reality Indian foreign policies have even antagonized all its neighbours from Pakistan, China to Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka. Maybe Trump is right but crude
