China is ‘world’s sole manufacturing superpower’, with 35% of global output
China’s state-led economic development model and robust industrial policy has transformed it into what an influential European think tank calls "the world’s sole manufacturing superpower", making up 35% of global gross production – more than the 9 next largest manufacturers combined.

@bigdream6020
It's about whether you hold any cards. Why India always compare with China? Why why why.??? You need to work hard to create your cards....don't just talk talk talk....... you need to walk walk walk....

@newtonwambui
China has to the large part of history been the largest economic superpower,not militarily, fighting them economically is suicide, they have done international business and logistics for thousands of years,

@samanthajones4877
It feels like just a few weeks ago when Indians were all giddy about Modi being at the White House all buddy buddy with Trump. Looked how that turned out.

@HellespontNicholas
So why you mocked China when tariff war happened? You should have known sooner or later it's your turn. And you do not have many cards like China.

@alanhe2049
When the US applied 145% tariff China replied the same, so India should reply the US 50% to show the strength not just crying HOW ABOUT THE China

@LP18888
Its crazy how India is thousands of years old but still don't understand what it takes to be on the table and not on the menu. BTW has India said thank you just once yet ahahahaha

@jianyang6281
China doesnt resale russian oil to EU.

@mopunyau
Well… let’s really look at the facts here… China currently is #1 in the world in the following categories:
Ship building (50% of the world’s; 234x of America’s)
Rare earths production (>99%)
Steel production (54%)
Hypersonic missile technologies (most hypersonic missiles variants: Tactical & strategic). We have NONE‼️ Did they STOLE that tech from us❓
Radar technologies (this one would lix to the dominance of rare earths. If you need further education on the matter, pls let me know)
Satellite coverage: China’s BeiDou satellite system is FAR SUPERIOR to our U.S. GPS (3 orbit layers vs ONE, 10cm accuracy vs 3 METERS, 56 satellites vs 36, 120 ground stations vs 11, disruptions & spoofing-proof…) in short… they can turn off our GPS system with the flick of a switch‼️ BTW, while on the subject of space: China is currently the undisputed world’s leader in space exploration:
a) They’re already MINING on the moon FCOL‼️
https://youtu.be/IZ7tNF_AZCk?si=CMb3xaJ5JjR8uSB5
b) They’re already doing satellites REFUELING in IGSO orbit‼️Did they ‘stole’ that tech from us ❓
And… what has been doing❓We stranded our astronauts in space & couldn’t get ‘em back in NINE months‼️ AND… we had to rely on a CIVILIAN commercial company to do it⁉️⁉️⁉️ WTF⁉️
6th-Gen fighters (3 of ‘em now ALREADY flying & testing) & drone technologies: just for everyone’s information: China currently has the world’s largest & most sophisticated wind tunnel (JF-22). No other country in the world even comes close.
Overall industrial strength (unanimous world’s #1) China now amount for >50% of the world’s robotic manufacturing.
Nitrocellulose (45.55% of global production): That’s the major component of gun powder.
Antibiotics (45% of global production) … you’ll know why this is important if you’re in a shooting war.
And… that’s just 10 things China is leading the world in … I’m sure there are more… like… EVs & clean energy solutions ❓But I’m ALREADY 1000% sure NO countries in this universe would be insane enough to want a shooting war with China.
So… maybe it’s time for your PM to go BEG & KISS China’s ass instead of our POTUS’… reality is a bitch indeed. (I don’t mean you, Palki)

卫星覆盖:北斗系统碾压美国的GPS(3层轨道vs单层,10厘米精度vs 3米,56颗卫星vs 36颗,120个地面站vs 11个,抗干扰防欺骗...)

@turtlesoup8134
The true indispensable nation.

@dimsimbogan.
China knows Trump's a businessman, you need something to trade with him, a leverage of sort. India treated Trump like a friend, who would reciprocate friendship and kindness likewise. In other words, Chinese are good at assessing characters while Indians are too trusting, jumping into conclusions without careful thought and is now paying a heavy price

@GeorgeTeo-hp8du
US has foresight, respect the strong, unlike India, politically poor, just to please US and go against China. In the end, India suffered the most. Probably a change of government will be better for India to overcome the current embarrassment.

@ngvkhtnw22
China talks very little but does many great things. India has a loud mouth, talks non-stop but can actually do very little. If India wants to be great, stop talking too much and start focusing on doing things. Even India's supposedly great pharma business relies on Chinese ingredients. China's rare earth strategy was more than 20 years in the making, without talking.

@xgguo3531
Trump teachs India a good lesson about what real power is.
China is the real superpower , which Trump realizes in a hard way and he chickened out.
Is India a real super power? Not if India can only use tough talks as response to unfair US tariff.
Look forward to India retaliation on US tariff.

@KhunYasoboyYaso-i5c
Obviously China is far more important than the rest. That is the reason.
This is going to let the yin-dians jealous to their core.

@AnisurRahman-fd6lu
You must remember that, right from the beginning, China stood up to Trump bully. Trump slaps China once, China slaps Trump twice. At that point Trump realised that he has got a stronger opponent and he is bowing down. Modi is also doing the same, slapping back Trump, but half heartedly.

@Libra-p6b
Modi: America doesn’t need anything from India. We have no leverage!

@JayamuruganDhanasekaran
We are major generic medicine supplier to US.

@ninersnation3298
@JayamuruganDhanasekaran it's like China controls everything...those india's generic drugs to USA. the ingredients are from China...
Per Google AI "India's pharmaceutical industry relies heavily on China for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), with imports from China estimated to be around 70% of India's total API needs. This dependence is significant, particularly for certain life-saving antibiotics, where dependence can be as high as 90%."

@李小白-x4v

You should be grateful that China ceded the generic drug industry to India. Of course, major Western pharmaceutical companies all know in private why India can develop this industry that violates patent laws. India is the drug testing base of the West.

@ravindranmokkilmaruthur23
China has minerals that US needs - Extensions will be extended till US strikes some deal on this - Trump got a mineral deal with Zelensky but it did not move forward as the war is still on - Those minerals are important for the US -

@JL-sw3sb
Fact-check: Before imposing tariffs on other countries, President Trump began raising tariffs on China starting in his first term (2017–2021), with four (4) major rounds, reaching up to 25%. In his second term, there have been five (5) more rounds, resulting in a peak tariff rate of 145% on some Chinese goods entering the US. Please avoid reporting as if China were unaffected. A more balanced overview will help your audience understand the full impact of these policies globally. I hope this feedback is helpful.

@Argus-m1s
The crazy increase in tariffs that both sides have verbally mentioned has never been actually implemented. The actual tariff is only 10%. Although the possibility of increasing the tariff to 24% was retained, it was extended for another 3 months at the end of July. So, it is still 10% at present.

@Minisculehumanbeing
@Argus-m1s Ture! That's why a nation needs leverage/cards to deal with uncertainty. China has long ago foreseen it and been working hard to build its cards. Self-dependence is not a wish, but is something you can achieve with efforts. So China loves trading with the world, and has no fear of trade pause given its self-dependence capability.

@dongiovanni8899
Your fact-check missed out the exemption lists, eg. consumer electronics, Tesla EV

@Qiang-l7m
it likes to ask why the us can add tariff to all other countries but india can't, it is decided by power. my lady.

@dearfrenz1
Tariffs are paid by importers. When tariffs are imposed, importers negotiate with the manufacturers or distributors in the country of origin. Importers will protect their own interests — they will not import products if the price will not be accepted by the market. The suppliers and manufacturers in the country of origin have to negotiate, because they have the most at stake. They are responsible for keeping their factories running, and if they fail to do so, they risk collapse due to overstock. This can trigger further problems with creditors, suppliers, and labor. Now you decide who pay the Tarif? I would say who ever say the Tarif is being paid the consumers are 85% wrong!!!!

@webdeveloper2432
If he tariffs India and China at the same time, Americans will be on streets. Simple logic! Once India tariffs gets relaxed, if at all, China will see tariffs. He is playing a game. The best thing countries can do is diversify their exports and when US comes back hike the prices for them.

Envy, jealousy, and hatred are written on this lady's face. Please stop comparing things like this. To gain the respect of your opponent, you need to demonstrate the ability to make others respect you

@mustard7625
China has the world's finest statesmen, who focus on long-term governance for the next 50 or even 100 years; while India only has the world's most opportunistic politicians, who care only about trivial matters at hand and are best at inciting public sentiment

@opinionmatters7119
Tariffs may fill up the governments account but that money does not go back to its people. He’s running the government like his Trump casinos. Everyone else suffers, including his employees. In this case…it’s people. Sad actually. All other countries should simply trade between each other and leave the US. How long do you think his bullying would last.

@AjayGupta-ne1rz
Bully always bullies the soft ones. India has always been soft towards US and they are taking advantage of it. Chinese on the other hand always treated US as an enemy.

The tariff king has just shown India that talking is cheap — dirt cheap! Learn from it!

@adityanrajagopal6636
If you are wealthy, people will naturally align with you. Unfortunately, India has failed to truly promote self-reliance. We have neither focused on building self-reliance nor on fostering business-oriented education. Our basic system itself has gone wrong.
For example, a qualified teacher is hardly appointed as the Secretary of Education, a qualified doctor seldom becomes the Health Secretary, and a qualified engineer is almost never made the Secretary for Highways. Instead, civil servants dominate every department, regardless of their professional background. This has led to a complete collapse of the system.
To move forward, we must rebuild the very foundation of governance. The outdated system must be removed and replaced with a modern, efficient frxwork. Only then can we focus on achieving our goals. Without this change, progress will remain impossible.

@karunanithiramachandran
The investment in China from the US is so huge that they can't afford to adversely effect the Chinese economy.
Trump is definitely bowing down to the pressure from his business colleagues.
The same goes for the EU and most of the west as they have become too dependent on China.
If the Chinese economy collapses it will most adversely effect the world economy and however Trump tries to get out of this dependence it won't be without much pain.

@elc6895
India has much more tariffs than rest of world, they even have interstate tariffs. Painful experience for many bizmen.

@jenishghale6672
Palki was jumping when China was hitten by tariff thinking India will replace China. Now India is reallying replacing China not on Manufacturing Hub but on Tariffs

@enockonyango1563
You give the US so much attention and unfortunately this is the reason why they feel so much important to you. China does not give these guy so much attention and that why Trump relaxes things when it comes to China.

@Yefu-kl9pz
If it were only India receiving 10%, this woman will cheer that how strong India is instead of accusing Trump double standards

@user-yg31415
India has some cards against Trump, but lacks one key card: courage. They don't dare to reciprocate to Trump, except by loud talking to the domestic audience for its internal gurgitation. The Indian independence from UK was also not a result of actual courageous struggle, but a passive wearing down of the Brit's patience. It is a hopeless nation.

@wilson2009yao
China export barely no oil and low-level refined products. China export end-products, eg, plastic, clothes, electronic devices based on refined oil products. They can not be produced in USA, so USA and China have a cooperation relationship.
On the other hand, India exports too much low-level refined oil(gasoline, etc) to EU, which is competing with US oil business. That is why it is inevitable Trump tariff India.
