Hey Clara, hey Mark!
I’m glad that things go and are well with China, and by extension, the world at large! And I am especially pleased by China’s advances and adventures in space exploration (an 18th century woodblock print of the goddess “Chang ‘e” hangs above my bed!), and even more so for China’s attempts to guide this troubled world back into a “rising tide that raises all boats” globalism, as opposed to the “zero sum gamesmanship” that will doubtless spring forth from our benighted and beleaguered America…
China has been open and unambiguous in correctly advocating the two state solution in Gaza, and so this will happen (Netanyahu’s demise is inevitable!), and I must especially applaud the efforts of Foreign Minister Wang Yi in attempting to align the various factions of the disparate and feuding camps of the Palestinian resistance under one banner, so to speak (Foreign Minister Wang Yi has one of the most difficult jobs on the planet, for which he is always under appreciated, and often villainized! Perhaps it will go more easily for the woman who may well succeed him, the wonderfully named, “Mao Ning”…
And as far as the widely misperceived idea that China is “aligned” with Russia, China has a protocol that requires them to honor whatever they have declared to the world, but the fact is that both China and India are forcing Putin and Russia to sell petroleum below their cost of production, in order to finance Czar Vladimir the Last’s blood feast and dreams of antique empire!
And I believe that almost everyone, and especially the BRICS countries, know only too well that the Russian Federation is “damaged goods,” and that it’s only a matter of time before it dissolves into bankruptcy, chaos, and balkanization. Exactly when Putin will be shown the view from the 6th floor or retires to his own personal chamomile farm, remains to be seen, but my guess would be sooner rather than later…
Meanwhile, China has doubtlessly already designed the new roads, infrastructure, and high speed rail that will shortly magically appear (in less than a decade!) in soon to be repatriated Manchuria, and this will happen before China inevitably and quite rightfully re-obtains Taiwan (which won’t happen through conflict, but rather the west will essentially barter it off for debt relief and access to Chinese products and technology!)…
But what I do wish to caution you against, my old friends, is “saber rattling,” as there’s no need or benefit in that!
Our American President Theodore Roosevelt once said that America should “speak softly and carry a big stick,” and although under Trump America will surely only, “speak loudly and carry a big stink,” old Teddy was spot on…
Please understand that with America at present we are dealing with a bunch of frightened little boys (frightened of anyone who doesn’t look or speak like them, and especially frightened that women, whom they see as chattel, should have spiritual and bodily autonomy!), and so it’s best to try to avoid their imbecilic and myopic attention spans…
They are the oldest and the most rapidly diminishing American demographic, and they’re all going to be starting their very own Putinian flower and herb gardens before very long at all…
Ironically, they’re all so worried about being “replaced,” by people of other ethnicities, but they’ve certainly done a piss poor job of replacing themselves, haven’t they? And that’s a GOOD thing!

5 Aircraft Carrier Strike groups: 2 East coast, 2 West Coast, 1 training.
12 attack subs & 6 Ballistic missile subs split East coast & West Coasts.
4 USAF Fighter Interceptor Wings NW, NE, SE & SW regions.
Zero Expeditionary Forces. Zero Foreign bases. Cut Guam, Samoa, Puerto Rico, the UK, NATO, South Korea, Japan and Israel loose. Zero US overseas colonies.

The only issue is the Chinese concept of face which prevents it from unleashing the true potential of its stuff. It is always too concerned about any little 'failure' that it thinks may tarnish its reputation. The boring but very 'safe' demo of the j35 at the airshow is case in point. Well, unfortunately, if a war breaks out..it won't be safe.

The only issue is the Chinese concept of face which prevents it from unleashing the true potential of its stuff. It is always too concerned about any little 'failure' that it thinks may tarnish its reputation. The boring but very 'safe' demo of the j35 at the airshow is case in point. Well, unfortunately, if a war breaks out..it won't be safe.
